Wide-Field Cygnus & the Perseid Meteor Shower

The night after the Perseid meteor shower peaked, the skies finally gave me half a clear night. I grabbed my DWARF 3 and headed straight to a Bortle 4.9 location—though my SQM reading put it closer to Bortle 5. Polar alignment took just one minute. Then I simply used GoTo to point at Cygnus and started shooting. I’ll share a detailed tutorial later on how to use DWARF 3 footage to create a time-lapse and process individual frames, including how to composite meteors into the final image. After checking all the footage, I discarded the smaller meteors. These were the only three that were clearly visible. Photographing meteors really isn’t easy!
