Cygnus' Brain‑Cloud Nebula, NGC 6888 (Crescent Nebula), lies roughly 4,800 light‑years away from Earth. A dying massive star carves out this cosmic bubble with brain‑fold‑like textures via its high‑speed stellar wind. The red glow comes from ionized hydrogen, while its faint bluish outer rim originates from oxygen emission. In hundreds of thousands of years, this star will end its life in a supernova explosion.
