NGC6882

NGC 6882 is a loose open star cluster in the constellation Cygnus, embedded in one of the Milky Way’s wonderfully rich star fields. It lies close to the better-known NGC 6885, and the two are sometimes difficult to distinguish visually because their stars overlap in the same region of sky. Unlike the dramatic nebulae found throughout Cygnus, NGC 6882 is all about the stars: a scattered collection of young stellar neighbours set against the dense background of our Galaxy. With the DWARF 3, the wide field makes it especially nice to capture together with the surrounding Cygnus star field.
