A Crescent Moon — August 16, 2026

Another lunar capture from tonight, August 16th, photographed during the early evening. The thin crescent reveals an incredible amount of surface detail, with craters and lunar terrain emerging along the illuminated edge. The deep black background makes the Moon feel almost suspended in space, while the subtle tones across the surface give the image a surprisingly three-dimensional appearance. Two frames from the same session, showing slightly different processing and color tones.
