Sh2-132 the lion nebula

SH2-132 is a large, fairly diffuse and faint emission nebula, embedded in the Perseus arm of the MW towards Cepheus, around 10,000 LY away. It spans around 250 LY and is powered by two massive, energetic Wolf-Rayet stars. Red Ha dominates, along with bluish OIII (and orange SII), along with dark dust lanes. I'm always fascinated by a bright ‘beam of light’ that sweeps out from the lion's head; in fact a ridge of gas and reflective dust sculptured by the intense stellar winds.
