NGC 6910

This astrophotography capture centers on the region directly adjacent to Sadr (\gamma Cygni) in the heart of the constellation Cygnus. Key Objects in the Frame NGC 6910 (The Rocking Horse Cluster): The primary target, located just right of center. This is a young open cluster situated roughly 3,700 to 5,000 light-years away. It features a distinctive grouping of bright blue-white stars Sadr (\gamma Cygni): The dazzling supergiant star dominating the left-center of the image with a pronounced optical diffraction halo. Shining at magnitude 2.2, Sadr sits at a distance of approximately 1,800 light-year IC 1318 (The Sadr / Gamma Cygni Nebula): The rich, deep red hydrogen-alpha (H\alpha) emission nebula glowing across the background. Ionized by massive stars in the Cygnus OB2 association, this vast cloud of energized hydrogen gas blankets the entire star field.
